VSC Radio/PLUR Begins a New Phase

Recently, PLUR – the token behind the newly renamed “VSC Radio” – completed its move to Vector Smart Chain on July 4th. Now fully on-chain, VSC Radio/PLUR has laid the groundwork to begin building its vision of bridging blockchain technology and the music industry in a way that’s practical, interactive, and rewarding for both artists and fans.

VSC Radio is not just another online streaming project; it’s a fully licensed radio station in Canada with the capability to broadcast music worldwide. This licensing means it can operate on the same professional footing as traditional stations, but with the added advantages of Web3 technology. PLUR (standing for Peace, Love, Unity, Respect) sits at the heart of this model, enabling payments, exclusive content access, artist services, and fostering an ecosystem where independent musicians can thrive without relying on conventional methods.

Alongside the programming expansion, VSC Radio has launched its new official website at vscradio.com. This will become the central hub for listening, interacting, and participating in the growing community.

What’s Coming

The next phase for VSC Radio will see the launch of live-to-air broadcasts that go beyond music. Plans include AMAs for the Vector Smart Chain community, live podcasts, community-driven programming, and dedicated independent artist showcases. All of these are intended to integrate PLUR directly, allowing listeners to request songs live on air, vote in interactive polls, and submit music for potential broadcast slots.

For advertisers and creators, PLUR introduces a real on-chain utility. Brands will be able to purchase ad spots in live shows and podcasts using PLUR, while artists can pay in PLUR to submit their tracks for review and airplay. Fans can use PLUR to take part in weekly music polls, with the top-voted artists earning the tokens used in voting — a model that turns community engagement into direct support for musicians.

The roadmap also includes PLUR staking, an on-chain merch store, and a dApp launch. This dApp will serve as a gateway for both artists and listeners to engage, earn, and participate in the station’s ecosystem, bringing together entertainment, technology, and community.

By combining the reach of a licensed broadcaster with Vector Smart Chain, VSC Radio is positioning itself to be a unique player in both the music and web3.
