Bridges play a critical role in blockchain ecosystems, enabling assets to move across otherwise isolated networks. BESC LLC has now entered the space with BESCBridge, a new USDC bridge with lower costs as well as support for eight major chains to Vector Smart Chain (VSC). BESCBridge is the second bridge to be developed for VSC and is likely to be released in the coming day.
Designed from the ground up, BESCBridge aims to simplify multi-chain transfers and on-board users into the VSC ecosystem with ease.
Transaction Ready
To facilitate transactions on-chain, the native gas coin of the chain is required. Therefore, bridging to a new chain without holding its native gas coin leaves a user stranded until they acquire it from another source separately.
This problem is one that BESCBridge aims to solve. The bridge includes an option to add Vector Smart Gas (VSG). By using this feature, users will be ready to perform transactions immediately after bridging. Essentially, with gas added, you can move from another chain to VSC and start using it without any additional needs.
How to use BESCBridge
BESCBridge is designed to be easy to use with minimal effort. Here is some general steps to filling out the bridging form.
- Connect your wallet.
- Select a supported chain that you are moving USDC from.
- Specify the amount of USDC to bridge.
- (Optional) Add VSG gas if you don’t have any already.
- Review and click “Bridge”.
After the bridging process is complete you will recieve BUSDC equivalent to the amount of USDC you have sent as well as any VSG you added.
What is BUSDC?
BUSDC is BESC’s version of the USDC stablecoin. It helps in maintaining deep liquidity for the BESCBridge and is fully backed and designed to mirror USDC at a 1:1 ratio.
When you bridge USDC into Vector Smart Chain, the USDC is stored in a vault, and an equivalent amount of BUSDC is minted to your wallet on VSC. Conversely, when bridging out, your BUSDC is burned, and the corresponding USDC is released back to you on your selected chain.
BUSDC functions like any standard on-chain asset. It can be swapped for regular USDC on VSC or bridged out to supported chains seamlessly.
What’s Next?
BESCBridge is shaping up to be a vital and widely used tool for seamless cross-chain transfers. The bridge is expected to be released over the next day, so keep an eye out.
Looking ahead, support for additional blockchains is expected—potentially expanding to as many as 20 integrated chains.
