VSC Unpacked – Accumulation Challenge, VSG Burn, Resources and More

Welcome back for another VSC Unpacked! It’s been a big week with chain integrations, both MEXC and LBank integrated VSC and listed native VSG for trade. There is even bigger news on the horizon, with Whittaker hinting there is an announcement that is “bigger than any CEX”. So we can’t wait to see what that is about soon.

Let’s unpack what’s been happening in the past few days.

Accumulation Challenge

Something for the revheads. Whittaker has announced a special “30 Day Accumulation Challenge”. Where the top 2 new wallets that accumulate the most VSG in 30 days win. The prize? An exclusive trip to the UK to meet the VSG Racing Team – that includes meeting Yan himself.

If that sounds cool, you’ll be happy to know the needed flights, hotels and transfers will all be covered. You’ll get a day with the team at the Oulton Park track and enjoy an evening meal at the end of the day.

Burn Pool Incinerated

One of the major standout features of Vector Smart Chain has been its hyper-deflationary mechanism. This means $1 worth of VSG (the gas token of Vector Smart Chain) from every single $4 transaction fee put into a pool for later burning. The first of these burns has now taken place. In total, 3.1 million VSG was burned, roughly $10,000 dollars.

Alongside the burn event, there was a Burn Party voice chat where the team and special guests talked about VSC and what the burn meant for the ecosystem. The VC also brought in Mike to talk about what is happening for XetaAI.

V-Wallet

Initially delayed from the VSC launch day, there appears to be some new movement surrounding the V-Wallet. Jason recently mentioned a token launch, namely VAF (IYKYK) during recent testing/wallet development. On a separate occasion, he also shared a small screenshot of the app wallet holding some VSG.

Hopefully this means we’ll be seeing this wallet really soon.

Free Book Promo

The Adventures of The Crypto Kid and Lucy: Journey to the Moon is currently free on Amazon Kindle for a limited time (till Jan 13th). This book, written by Vector Smart Chain Co-Founder Jason Ansell, is targeted toward children & young teenagers. This book is designed to introduce “the wonders of blockchain and crypto through fun, relatable adventures, inspiring kids to embrace curiosity, creativity, and resilience”.

The book is currently available for free on the Amazon Kindle store. However, if you prefer listening to books over reading them, there is an audio book version also available for free on Youtube.

Crunching Numbers

Another stats update for all the number lovers out there. As of this article, transactions are totalling over 15,000 with 3323 wallets on-chain. NFTs have generated at total of 6.1 million VSG in rewards and there is 5.5 billion VSG currently on-chain.

Resources For Holders

To help VSG holders and traders, Jason has provided for download two useful resources. One is a wallet seed phrase keeper, where you can write down all your wallet’s phases (and keep them tucked away, no doubt). The other file is a trading tracker which helps you track all your buys and sells and the outcomes of them.

  This is the first community token to be launched on Vector Smart Chain. Based on the community sayings “Vector As Fuck/If You Know You Know”, it is supported by Jason Ansell, launching it during wallet/testing development.
