Goodbye 2024, Hello 2025

What a year it has been! From the beginning of 2024, the VSC team has been building, going from essentially nothing to a layer-1 blockchain. Now, with that chain having launched on December 18th 2024, 2025 looks to be the year of building on top of VSC. Many new tokens, apps and dapps will be launched over the coming months.

The VSC team has had their fair share of highs and lows this year, but their grit and tenacity has kept them going in the face of struggles and setbacks. Personally, I think the way Vector Smart Chain has come together embodies their team spirit.

The community is central to this chain and the VSC Team has always made sure they were there most days of the week to talk and share a laugh with anyone who should come along. Jason and Whittaker recalled not too long ago that when they began, they would sit in Telegram Voice Chat and no-one would join. Today, things are very different, with thousands having tuned into some of the more recent AMAs.

To summarise what has happened in the final few days of 2024 and some things to look forward to starting 2025, here are some highlights:

• The first launch on VSC occurred on the 30th Dec! XetaAI launched its XTA token which will power the features of its upcoming platform. Within hours of launch, XTA reached a 9 million market cap. Marketing of XetaAI is now beginning and XetaAI team has signed a deal with Brothers Marketing.
• The VSC Buy Bot for Telegram has been released and is in use over in XetaAI’s community. We can look forward to seeing this bot in many more up-and-coming projects being launched on VSC.
• Jason Ansell released two additional books: “Understanding Blockchain” and “Adventures of Crypto Kid & Lucy”. His books have topped the new release charts in their related categories and all three of his books mention Vector Smart Chain.
• The launch of the VSC Token Launchpad is getting close and has already been used for XetaAI’s XTA token.
• WEEX, the centralised exchange, has listed the ERC20 VSG token.
• MEXC is expected to be integrating VSC, more information about this is coming soon.
• Buying VSG with fiat will soon be a reality. Whittaker shared a teaser screenshot and announced that (through another secured integration) this will be possible.
• The first month of January 2025 is looking good with the potential of announced projects launching. United Honey Bee has announced it is launching the first week of January.
• Jason Ansell commented that the Solana to VSC redemption for projects: PLUR, Chad’s Dad, Lifted Lions & Lucy will be a timed limited 1 – 1 redemption, where redeemed Solana tokens will be burned.
