The VSC team is building momentum ahead of the release of the Vector Smart Chain mainnet and one of these momentum building events is the first Vector Smart Chain Hackathon. Today, Dana Ovics of the VSC PR Team posted via Telegram a teaser video for the event.
No specific details and no date has been released along with the video, but from the video it certainly looks like it will be soon. The teaser does highlight that there will be prizes, but as to what they are we’ll have to wait and see.
Hackathons have been recently mentioned in several AMA’s that would be done in the lead up to launch, so we are glad to see this is taking shape.

What is a Hackathon?
If you’ve never heard of this term, a Hackathon is a short intensive event that typically runs between 24 – 48 hours. It is a collaborative event that can involve people with all different skill sets such as programmers, engineers, hackers and designers coming together to achieve certain goals (such as creating solutions to issues and finding security vulnerabilities).
