Progress towards the Vector Smart Chain Mainnet continues to get ever closer. In a short voice message, Yan Whittaker shared some key details on October 25th about the current state of VSC, Bridge and the chain’s audit.
“The L1 Blockchain is complete, it’s finished. The bridge has about 10% to be completed. […] In between that 10% is an audit.”

No date for the audit process has been announced yet. As of October 28th Whittaker stated briefly: “code currently under review. Then the audit will start”.
Previously, VSG on Eth was audited by Certik. It is likely they may be used again for the VSC audit.
How long does a Blockchain Audit take?
The time it takes for a Blockchain’s code to be audited largely depends on its complexity and if any issues need to be resolved. To guesstimate, it could take anywhere from a couple weeks to a month or more to be completed once the audit begins. No doubt updates on the audit process will come with more approximate timing.
